Moodle Server Reboot
September 12, 2007 – 10:12We got an sms that the performance of the moodle server broke down. Did a reboot of the server. Still performance is crap. Trying to find out what is going wrong. Did a httpd restart and sites were accessible again but still we don’t know exactly what went wrong.
After analysing some httpd access logs, we found that were a lot of tcp requests around 10:00. Maybe some school or something where everybody is hitting the F5 button. Also it seems that the whole server configuration has not yet been optimised for running moodle; php and mysql can be improved a lot.
