Received installation log from client. Check out installation log to see if we can find any problems.
Seems that the problem is rooted in the 32 vs 64 bit installation conflicts. Sent mail to client to contact with harvestroad about this

Installed Sakai today.
Installed CentOS 5 as a virtual machine. I keep forgetting the network settings:
static ip: 192.168.245.xxx netmask: 255.255.255.0
default gateway: 192.168.245.2
primary DNS: 192.168.245.2
/etc/resolv.conf: search stoas.nl ; nameserver 192.168.245.2
Installed VMWaretools
General info about installing Java on CentOS.
Ok, now Sakai prerequisites install:
download source package from sakaiproject.org
install from java.sun.com, J2SE 5.0 (JDK 5), accept ...

Discussion about Moodle Networks. They want to install 50-100 moodles on a server and use 1 moodle as content server. Most important question is how many concurrent users the system can handle. Quick calculation resulted in an estimate of 100 - 400 concurrent users at peak performance.
