Moodle Theme + Search

November 20, 2007 – 17:19

Turned out that the chameleon script is fckd up. There are some issues with chameleon and ie. An activeX script is messing up the layout and gif rendering.

So now tried a new install of just a layover of the standard theme, based on some customisation a colleague has already done. Shouldn’t be too hard.

Put together a nice custom base theme. Later we can start editing pix, icons, etc

Installed search module -> untarred global_search.tar.gz and go to notifications. Global search is already included in Moodle core in 1.9, so copied 1.9 sc back to tree and everything was fine. Go to Miscellaneous -> Experimental -> Enable global search.

There is a problem executing antiword and xpdf. Installed from yum repository -> everything worked fine. But then set the proper path in settings of the global search module
